  Group 6 won the inter group knockout at the weekend beating a strong group 4 team in the final.  5 Rochford players were in the team.  Bill Collins, Peter Rouse, Alex Hanton and John and Mark Welton.

  Barry Miller won he county unbadged singles on Sunday 2nd September beating Peter Knight of Royal Mail Woods21-15.

  After reaching he quarter finals of all four county competitions another successful day was had at Falcon and Great Baddow with all four winning and going on to the semi finals. • Zippers!!

  Brian Rogers, Doug Rosewell and ex Rochford player Ken Keefe present a cheque to  staff at Gordon Hopkins ward at Southend Hospital.  The money was raised as part of the ongoing work of the Zippers Bowling Association who have raised over £180 000 since 1996.
